1/2 Pig - Pork Share Deposit *Click for more Information*
Reserve your half or whole pig share.
What you are buying
We raise a breed of pig called Tamworth, an old English breed known for foraging.
Our pigs are born on the farm and have been on pasture their whole life. They root up and eat a variety of plants in our orchard as well as feed on fallen apples in the fall. They are also fed a grain supplement daily of NON-GMO feed.
We offer the chance to purchase a whole pig or half pig. If you don't think you can eat a half, you are welcome to find a friend to share a half pig.
Our next processing day is scheduled for January 6th. Byron Center Meats will be doing the processing and will work with you regarding what cuts you'd prefer and how you'd like everything done.
The cost of the pig will be $4.25/lb at hanging weight. I don't always know how big the bigs will be, but this batch could be between 200 and 250lbs for the hanging weight.
We ask that you put down a deposit to reserve your pig of $50 for half pigs and $100 for whole pigs. Once your pigs is at the butcher, I will send out total payment details after I receive the final hanging weight. Once Byron Center Meats is finished processing your pig, you get to pick it up and you'll get to enjoy some tasty bacon!
This cost does not include the processing fee Byron Center Meats charges for smoking and prepping your cuts. Follow the link for more information on what they will charge and your options - https://www.byroncentermeats.com/custom-meat-processing-2/
